The preliminary meeting of the Asiatrib International Steering Committee was held at the Quality Hotel - Room "Port Island", Kobe, Japan on Tuesday, May 31st, 2005 at 12:00-13:30

2. Statutes of the Asiatrib International Steering Committee
PROPOSED: That the term "congress" should be replaced by the term "conference".
AGREED: That the amended Statutes of AISC (attached_1) would be validated from the 1st of June 2005, and also that the possibility of reverting to the term "Congress" could be discussed at the AISC meeting to be held during the 3rd Asiatrib Conference, based on the number of participants.


3. Decision procedure for the 2nd next Asiatrib
AGREED: That the 2nd next Asiatrib host would be decided in accordance with the procedure proposed (attached_2).
NOTED: That, when the chairperson of AISC for an Asiatrib Conference ends the term of national or regional president before the Conference ends, the successor would take over and remain the chairperson of AISC until the end of the Conference, and also that the fact of the succession should be noticed to each vice-chairperson of AISC without delay.
NOTED: That the host of the 2nd next Asiatrib should be decided so that it could be formally announced during the next Asiatrib Conference


4. Any Other Business
Membership of AISC
AGREED: That Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam would be members of AISC.
Co-Sponsorship of Asiatrib Conference
AGREED: That non-host countries or regions would co-sponsor the next Asiatrib Conference at the written request from the Chairperson.
