STATUTES of the Asiatrib International Steering Committee


Article 1 - Name of Organization
    The name of the organization is: The Asiatrib International Steering Committee (AISC).
Article 2 - Date of formation
    The date of formation is: 1st June 2005.
Article 3 - Objectives
    The objective of the Asiatrib International Steering Committee is to ensure that the Asiatrib Conferences are arranged at agreed intervals.
Article 4 - Finances
    Each of the Conferences shall be organized by a host society or societies who shall also be responsible for all finances connected therewith.
Article 5 - Membership
    AISC is composed of each president of each tribology society, group, division etc., which represents each country or region.
Article 6 - Chairpersonship of AISC
  1. AISC shall appoint a host country or region for an Asiatrib Conference.
  2. The Committee member of the host country or region shall be the chairperson of AISC, and the other Committee members shall be the vice-chairpersons of AISC.
Article 7 - Chairpersonfs Task
  1. The chairperson of AISC has the responsibility to hold the Asiatrib Conference.
  2. The chairperson of AISC can call the AISC meeting in the case of necessity.
  3. The chairperson of AISC shall call the AISC meeting during the Asiatrib Conference to decide the host country for the next Asiatrib Conference.
Article 8 - The term of Chairpersonship
    The term of the chairperson ends at the end of the Asiatrib Conference which the chairperson is responsible to organize.
Article 9 - Secretariat
    The chairperson can appoint the AISC Secretariat whose term shall end when the chairperson steps down.
Article 10 - Languages
    The official language of AISC is English.
