The peer-reviewed electronic journal “Tribology Online” is dedicated to facilitating global exchange of up-to-date information among tribologists and researchers in relevant fields through rapid publication of high-quality papers on all aspects of tribology: science and technology of lubrication, friction, wear, lubricants, tribo-materials, tribo-systems, and so on. The journal is open access and fully supported by the Japanese Society of Tribologists; authors can publish with no publication fee, and readers can access the publication with no subscription fee.

Call for papers - ITC Fukuoka 2023 Special Issue (deadline extended)

Tribology Online now welcomes papers to be presented at ITC Fukuoka 2023.

Categories of papers include "Article", "Short Communication", "Technical Report" and "Review".
The papers will be peer reviewed by at least two referees before they are accepted for publication. The "ITC Fukuoka 2023 Special Issue" will be published late 2023 and eary to mid 2024.

Deadline of submission is 25th June 2023 for award applicants, and 10th November 2023 for others.

When you submit your manuscript to the special issue, please select "ITC Fukuoka 2023" as its "Section/Category", and write your submission number in the "Enter Comments" field. The number was provided by the ITC Fukuoka 2023 Conference Organizing Committee when you submitted the abstract to ITC Fukuoka 2023.

Technical Report added to the types of contribution

Technical Report was added to the types of contribution, which should focus on development and application of novel and practical technology. The journal welcomes submissions of Technical Report from industry as well as academia in tribology and relevant fields.
