A great success |
The World Tribology Congress 2009 was a great success.
Over 1400 people attended and nearly 850 papers were presented.
The Organizing Committee would like to express warmest thanks to all who contributed to the success of this Congress, and hope that the advances in tribology discussed in Kyoto will contribute to technical innovation and sustainable development of the world. |

Action policy to deal with Influenza A (H1N1) |
The current novel influenza A (H1N1) is still spreading further, especially in the Southern Hemisphere where winter season has come.
In order to suppress or mitigate the rapid spread of the infection during the congress, every participant is kindly requested to take preventive measures, i.e. wearing masks or whatever means deemed necessary. Further, we sincerely ask you for your kind cooperation and attention to the followings: |

Should you feel unwell, i.e. fever exceeding 38 degrees in C, consecutive coughing or sneezing, your participation to the conference is subject to refusal. |

Since disinfectant is duly provided at the Conference Hall, we would appreciate it very much if you would gargle and wash your hands. |

Where the conference room affords extra space, please be seated keeping a certain distance to other participants. |
